In all of life, there are only two basics states of being - expansion and contraction. There are only two fundamental emotions - love and fear. All other emotions stem from those two core states. Joy, happiness, excitement, calm, peace - each of these is rooted in love. Anger covers fear, frustration covers fear, disappointment covers fear, grief covers fear. And there are four basic fears from which we each try to hide - fear of death, fear of abandonment, fear of rejection and fear of humiliation. When we're feeling unhappy and unfulfilled, we're hiding away from one or more of our fears. Do you experience most of your life feeling joy, hope, exhilaration? Or do you live most of your life in fear? Do you want to change that?

Our bodies and memories record every single experience we have ever had, every thought and feeling. Some of us remember most of our lives and experiences down to the smallest detail, some of us have conscious memories of only a few events. As a survival mechanism, our psyches have the capacity to block from conscious memory those events which were too traumatic to process. But that information is stored somewhere in our being, requires a great deal of energy to manage and influences our choices and behavior from moment to moment.

Some physicists, biologists and psychiatrists now also think that it's possible to pass knowledge down through successive generations of living beings, through DNA, cellular memory, morphic fields and the collective unconscious. Native shaman say that whatever you heal in your life, that healing is carried back seven generations and forward seven generations.

Breath Integration
Integrated Breathing is a form of circular breathing, where the gap between the in and out breath is minimized or eliminated altogether. Babies breathe naturally this way. The premise is that as we grow, experiences of fear cause us to hold our breath. For many people, the level of fear held in our memories and bodies is so great that we long ago stopped breathing fully, naturally, easily.

Integrated Breathing increases the oxygen in the body, allowing memories and emotions stored in our cells to be accessed. Through breath work, fear is released and integrated safely, creating space to live more freely, more authentically, more "in the now" rather than from the past.

A 'breathe' lasts 90 minutes and every breathe is different. Some are quiet, some are noisy, some are blissful, some are emotionally painful... Some people feel like they have slept through the entire session, others experience bliss, one person sang like an angel. All breathes lead to deep healing. Breathes can be done individually or as a group. You can set a very deliberate intention for what you want to address in a breathe, or you can trust your body to know what it needs and allow that experience to flow in whatever form is most appropriate.

Focusing
Focusing is a technique where we simply act as companions to our bodies and feelings. We sit with ourselves and observe and invite ourselves to reveal whatever is appropriate. Many times in life, we are completely unaware, or we avoid recognition, of our most basic feelings and needs. That repression costs us vast quantities of energy and curtails our ability to function fully, to express who we really are and to create our lives in expansion, rather than contraction. Spending time focusing in an unconditionally accepting way, unlocks and allows feelings and new understandings to flow, bring us to healing and wholeness.

Ceremony and Ritual
Since the dawn of time, humans have needed to create ritual and ceremony to recognize and honor the changes that we all experience in life. Marking milestones and events is one of the ways in which we give meaning to our existence, individually and as a society. How do you feel when no-one recognizes your birthday but you? How much more fulfilling is it to share the experience of joy at the birth of a child and grief at the passing of a loved relative, friend or co-worker? How much more deeply do we feel connected when we join together to celebrate success and commiserate with each other on failure or mishap?
